RENTAL PROPERTY DAMAGED IN ALLEGED ARSON ATTACK

The garage of a rental property in Shortland has been damaged, in an alleged arson attack overnight.
Emergency services were called to the Marsden Street house at about 1.30am to find the structure well alight.
Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze.
The house was unoccupied at the time and no one was injured.
Police are following lines of inquiry.
‘noone was injured’
that police van is deliberately covering a giant blood splatter on the front of the house.
