SOLAR PANEL UPGRADES LOOK TO SAVE COUNCIL THOUSANDS ON BILLS

Central Coast Council says it’s about to save some serious cash when it installs extra solar panels on its facilities.
Gosford’s Laycock Street Theatre is one of 28 buildings getting an upgrade, saving the local government $220,000 each year on its energy bills.
3,500 panels will be installed by the end of the year producing enough electricity to power 230 homes.
The installation has been partly funded by council’s former carbon tax charges at the Woy Woy tip.
