New figures show Port Macquarie-Hastings’ library service is the busiest in the state, with the highest circulation numbers per staff member.
During the past financial year, each employee issued almost 40,000 items, almost twice the state average.
And it appears the mid north coast is full of book buffs, with Greater Taree and Great Lakes placing second and third.
Port Macquarie-Hastings also topped the state in terms of turnover of books.
