The Opposition Leader, Malcolm Turnbull, has backed calls by farmers to exclude agriculture from the commonwealth’s carbon emissions trading scheme.
On the final day of the association’s annual conference, Mr Turnbull also agreed to support independent water studies on farmland targeted for mining.
