A 33-year-old man is in a critical condition in Gunnedah Hospital with burns to 30 per cent of his body.
It’s believed the man placed an accelerant on a bon fire, which caused a large explosion.
He was taken to Gunnedah Hospital shortly before 2o’clock this afternoon.
A medical team has been flown from Tamworth Base Hospital to treat the man.
