The Tamworth Thunderbolts are one step closer to the State Basketball League playoffs.
A 63 to 43 point win over the Lismore Storm was enough to book the women’s squad a place in the finals.
It’s the second time the Thunderbolts have defeated the storm by 20 points this season.
In a must win game the Tamworth men defeated their coastal counterparts 78 to 68.
The men still need to win their final two matches against the UNE Lions and Port Macquarie Doplins to qualify for the playoffs, which commence in two weeks.
