Newcastle Council has voted to save the Loft Youth Venue, and animal and bird enclosures at Blackbutt Reserve, threatened with the axe under its Sustainability Review.
Meanwhile, it’s pushing ahead with introducing paid parking at Blackbutt, and will examine whether to do the same at all Newcastle beaches.
