Less than a week after an armed standoff at a McDonald’s restaurant near Port Macquarie, police were again called to reports of gunshots, this time at Bonny Hills.
Officers raced to the seaside village just before one o’clock.
But it turned out to be a false alarm, the gunshots coming from a licensed shooter who was culling feral animals on private property.
