FRANK NEWBURY CASE HANDED TO CORONER

More than two years after the death of 87-year-old Cooks Hill grocer, Frank Newbury, police are no closer to tracking down his killer.
Despite a $100,000 reward, officers have no new leads, and have now handed the case to the Coroner.
Superintendent Max Mitchell today told NBN news, “Police have exhausted all avenues of inquiry. It’s been a fairly extensive and long investigation into Mr Newbury’s death.”
Mr Newbury was found beaten and unconscious on the floor of his grocery store, in March 2007.
