TE MOANA ENTERS RUGBY HISTORY BOOKS

Armidale Blues skipper, Mike Te Moana, has been named the New South Wales Country senior player of the year for the second year running.

The hard running number eight scored five tries during the cockatoos 2009 campaign.

A former rep player for New Zealand club Wellington, Te Moana becomes the first player to win back to back Will Tanner Trophies.

The award is named in honour of Quirindi and country prop, Will Tanner, who died in a horse riding accident in 1997.
