Caroona farmers have rallied outside Sydney’s Parliament House, accusing the state government of threatening prime agricultural land in favour of coal mining.
Greens MLC, Lee Rhiannon, today introduced a bill to try and protect farmland and water which sparked widespread debate in the Upper House.
However the numbers weren’t looking good late this afternoon, with government mp’s, the shooters party, and Reverend Fred Nile voting against the bill.
