Reactions to the HDC City Centre Renewal Report’s proposed cutting of Newcastle’s rail line have been as passionate as they are varied.
Newcastle Council has welcomed the recommendation, while Maitland Council is disappointed, and the Save Our Rail group says it won’t give up its fight.
