KOALA SURVEY FINDS NO KOALAS IN TREES AT MONGO VALLEY WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

An ecological study has revealed dwindling koala numbers in bushland, soon to house the Mongo Valley wildlife sanctuary.
The broad-scale survey found NO koalas on the 1,500 hectare site… despite it being a prime habitat area.
The news comes after the species was listed as ‘endangered’ earlier this year.
Following the survey, the organisations say they’ll be increasing monitoring measures in the area and implementing a koala breeding facility.
