With five deaths in the Hunter’s mining industry since last September, it seems timely the New South Wales mine safety advisory council decided to hold its first non-metropolitan meeting in the region.
The council is charged with advising the minister on safety issues, and currently has its sights set on the industry’s fatigue problems.
