Six Hunter residents will be sporting brand new medals this Anzac Day.
Warrant Officer Jason McLinden handed out the Australian Defence Force and Anniversary of National Service medals for acts that have gone unrecognised.
Gerald Bailey received both medals for his time spent as a medic between 1968 and 1970 in the Vietnam war.
