The upgrade of the Pacific Highway between Sapphire and Woolgoolga has moved a step closer, with the RTA calling for expressions of interest from construction companies.
The project includes 25 kilometres of dual carriageways, as well as overpasses and underpasses at five locations between Sapphire and Arrawarra Beach.
The works, which will begin next year, will also include a road between Sapphire and Woolgoolga to provide safer access for school buses and motorists who want to avoid the Pacific Highway.
