Gwydir Shire Council will hold a by-election in the next few months following the shock resignation of Councillor Clem Gordon at yesterday’s extraordinary meeting.
The decision meant a vote of no-confidence in Mayor Bob Tremain was defeated, however the council in-fighting remains unresolved.
