A 47-year-old man has been killed in a single-vehicle accident south of Coonabarabran.
It’s understood his car veered off the road and into a power pole beside Bulinda Street, near the Binnaway Sale Yards around 9.30 last night.
Police and ambulance crews spent two hours freeing the man from the wreck.
The driver suffered severe head and leg injuries and died aboard a rescue helicopter on his way to hospital.
