Australian test cricket opener Phillip Hughes has made a triumphant return home to Macksville.
The 20-year-old today launched a scholarship to benefit local junior cricketers.
Each year one standout player in the Nambucca Region will receive mentoring from Hughes, and coaching through a Sydney Cricket Academy.
