The New England Nomads are out to defend their Tablelands Cup title this weekend at the annual Tamworth AFL pre-season tournament.
Six clubs will travel to Armidale for the carnival.
The Nomads, Gunnedah Bulldogs, Tamworth Swans and Inverell Saints have all promised to field full strength sides.
Reining premiers, the Tamworth Kangaroos, will miss the round robin event, but plenty of competition is expected from visiting coastal clubs the Sawtell Saints and Nambucca Valley Lions.
