CALLAGHAN KNOCKED OUT OF NEWCASTLE CUP

Macy Callaghan excelled in an early heat today at the Newcastle Cup but the Central Coast surfer couldn’t keep up in a later round against fellow Aussie, Stephanie Gilmore.

Callaghan was looking hopeful after her first wave.

She finished with a score of 10-point-9-3..

But it wasn’t quite enough to win the heat.

Gilmore knocking the North Shelly boardrider out of the competition.
