TAFE enrolments in the New England region have increased by 15 per cent this year.
Campuses at Armidale, Glen Innes and Tenterfield have all recorded an influx of students wanting to increase their skills base because of the uncertain job market.
The Member for Northern Tablelands, Richard Torbay, puts the increase down to more school leavers enrolling in TAFE, the range of courses offered, and the recognition of TAFE qualifications in the market place.
