The fate of a controversial shopping centre development in Nambucca Heads will be decided at a council meeting tonight.
The $25-million project, on land owned by the Local Aboriginal Land Council at Bellwood, would be the biggest retail development undertaken in the shire.
It includes a Coles supermarket, a Target store, 31 specialty shops and parking for more than 400 cars.
There have been a number of objections to the project from local businesses, who fear it will create traffic congestion around an existing shopping centre.
