Under the new laws, motorists will need to keep to 40km/h around emergency flashing lights – or risk hefty fines.

This is wrong on many levels !.
1. those who actually work work on the roads are not covered in this silly law.
2. there is a real risk of rear end crashes if the emergency services are in a position which makes it impossible for some fools to react properly on approach to an accident scene on a blind corner, before any sort of traffic control can be set up.
3.how on earth are those laws going to be enforced? will there be a chase vehicle to catch and book motorists ?
