Over the years, plenty of hardened characters would have spent days or even years contemplating how to scale the walls of Maitland Gaol, but today members of a hard-core motorcycle club went to great lengths to get in.
Maitland’s Gladiators will hold their annual fundraiser at the gaol on Saturday, and called in some heavy-duty backup to sling in a mobile stage for the “Gaol Break, Rock and Roll, Bike and Car Show”.
The concert will feature Rose Tattoo at the top of a hard-rock lineup, a tattoo contest, and a heavy metal show and shine.
Funds raised will go to Ronald McDonald House and Maitland Palliative Care.
