BUSHFIRE APPEAL DROP-OFF LOCATIONS

The people of the Hunter have had an overwhelming response to the hardships being faced by people in bushfire-devastated areas of Victoria.

Several appeals for household goods and personal items, to be collected and delivered to Victoria, have sprung up and are being co-ordinated through the following centres.

A drop-off day has been organised for MONDAY 2nd March behind the Toronto Workers Club between 9am and 11am. Or by prior arrangement with John Farragher Removals, at Cameron Park by phoning 49026222. In the Lower Hunter and Maitland area donations of brand new underware, bras, socks, singlets and toiletries for collection by the 23rd Feb can be made by phoning 0402 359271.In the Upper Hunter, drop offs can be made at the Royal Hotel, George Street Singleton; Fantastic Furniture, John Street Singleton; Singleton Heights Sports Centre, Blaxland Avenue; Broke Village Store or by phoning 65715430.

    Could you tell us if there any drop off points on the central coast around Gwandalan as we have Blankets Towels and near new clothes we would like to donate to the bushfire appeal.
    Or is there any one thats can pick up from us.

  5. Does anyone know of any drop off points for donated items that will get to the Victorian Fire Appeal or The Queensland Flood Appeal. I have some baby stuff, pram etc to donate in the Tweed Heads Area.
