TAREE ENDURO RIDER IN THE LEAD

Taree Enduro rider Wil Ruprecht holds a three point lead in the Under-19 class of the Australian Off-Road Championships with a strong ride in the last round in Victoria.

The 17-year-old went into his race with a 6-point deficit, but didn’t let the swamp-like conditions stand in his way.

“Having the lead it makes it a little bit easier and a little more pressure off, but definitely 4 rounds to go there’s still a lot of points on offer, so definitely looking to still be pushing hard and not be too conservative because that definitely can run into a little bit of trouble later on down the track,” Wil says.

The next round will be held in Dungog, in the Hunter Valley, in three weeks time.
