Tamworth golfer, Simon Furneaux, has started his campaign to secure an Asian tour Card.
Furneaux is one of 83 Australian players taking part in the Asian Tour’s Qualifying School in Thailand this week, which has a field of 507.
The Tamworth golfer finished two over par with a score of 75 in the first round and is currently in equal 59th position.
40 tour cards for the 2009 Asian season are up for grabs, with the all important final stage to be held next week.
