A suburban street in Jesmond, which has become a popular spot for speeding drivers, may soon have six speed humps installed.
Residents along Janet Street are welcoming the move by Newcastle City Council, saying it will improve safety.
A plan of the proposal is on exhibition until the 30th of January.
