It took police and the rescue workers most of the day to retrieve the body of a man who fell from the Cape Byron Headland this morning.
The region’s rescue helicopter was called out a just before seven this morning but attempts to retrieve the man were hampered by the rocky terrain.
Police rescue workers were forced to access the man by foot.
The fall us not being treated as suspicious.
