HUNTER SUBWAY OWNER ACCUSED OF UNDERPAYING EMPLOYEES

The owner of four Hunter Subway outlets is due to face court, accused of underpaying 11 young employees.

It’s alleged Nicole Patrice Dawe, of Medowie, underpaid the workers a total of $56,585 between 2006 and 2011.

Two of the outlets are located at Charlestown, with the others at Kotara and Wallsend.

The biggest individual underpayment is $18,512.

The hearing is listed for June 22 in Sydney.
