The home of one of the country’s premier agricultural colleges is feeling the pinch of progress.
Established outside Maitland in 1965, Tocal College and its historic homestead sits amongst undulating paddocks and valuable river frontages.
The college fears that, as nearby population centres expand, the land may be viewed more for its development value.
Planning workshops will be held this weekend to look at ways to “future-proof” Tocal.
