RFS ON HIGH ALERT THIS WEEKEND

Meanwhile, the Rural Fire Service has released its fire danger ratings for tomorrow, as the mercury’s to remain in the high 30s to early 40s for the next few days.

The New England and Northern Slopes have high ratings in place, while North Western is rated VERY high.

While there are no total fire bans, the RFS is urging residents to avoid lighting fires, as they continue to tackle fierce blazes across the region.
