The countdown is on – and with just 10 days until the Newcastle Regional Show, organisers are spruiking a range of new attractions, as well the old favourites.
Roger Geary, the President of the Show Society today said “We needed to reinvigorate the whole event and we’ve done that – we’ve got a major food and wine exhibition, big Lego expo for kids.”
16-year-old blind singer Connor Wink got the crowd in the show mood today at the event’s official launch.
It will be held over three days from Friday, March 6, which has now been declared a ‘local event day’ in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie, meaning some workers will be given the day off.
