A 23-year-old volunteer firefighter, who admitted to lighting fires near Inverell, remains in custody after failing to raise bail of $55,000.
Justin Broadbent appeared in Inverell Court today, after pleading guilty to 13 charges of arson last month.
They relate to fires lit on public property, but some of which spread to privately-owned land.
The case has been adjourned until 23rd January.
