Saturday’s Inverell harness race meet will go ahead, despite fears it may had to have been cancelled due to a lack of nominations.
President John Watts received almost 40 nominations after extending the deadline until this morning.
The race day – one of only two held in Inverell this year – had already been postphoned due to a washout earlier this season.
The club will host five races this weekend, with horses coming from around the New England and Tamworth.
