A man will front a Northern Rivers court tomorrow, charged over the alleged sexual assault of a woman earlier this week.
Police say a 31-year-old woman was asleep in accommodation at Evans Head on Thursday, when a man entered the room and sexually assaulted her around 11pm.
Following an investigation, police attended Cashmore Street at Evans Head just after 11pm on Friday and arrested a 53-year-old man.
He was charged with sexual intercourse without consent, and will appear in Lismore Local Court on Monday.
