After 32 years with the University of New England, Associate Professor, Herman Beyersdorf is ready for retirement.
Walking away from his nine to five role with the UNE next semester, Beyersdorf hopes to continue his research and involvement through an honorary position.
Taking with him fond memories, the Armidale councillor counts the 1990’s dis-amalgamation campaign as his proudest accomplishment.
“Many of us at different level fought hard to regain independence for UNE as we know it, and while it was a hard struggle, I can probably count as a big achievement.”
