Tamworth cricketers are celebrating after Tamworth Council gave the green light for grade matches to be played on all three Riverside fields tomorrow.
With silt and gravel in the grass both the wicket and outfield will be slower than normal.
The news is not so good for Twenty 20 fans. The final of the Tamworth series has been cancelled for the second week running and there’s doubt about a reschedule with Josh Hazelwood and Blake Fitzgerald unavailable next Friday.
“we yet to make a decision on that, mainly due to the unavailabIlity of certain players, so next friday is still On the agenda but there could be a change to that.”
Organisers are considering postponing the final until Country Music week in a bid to attract a record crowd.
