LIVE DRUMMING PERFORMANCE TAKES OVER BAR BEACH

180 kids made history at Bar Beach on Saturday, taking to the sand for a live drumming performance.

It was the first of its kind in the region – the ‘Junior Jammers’ from across 35 Hunter schools, drawing a crowd for their end of year concert.

“What we try and teach with Drum Corp is just this coordination, creativity, mindfulness, just to make sure kids a really switched on and the beginning of the school day. And we find that carries that sort of concentration element right through the learning day,” said Matt Field from Drum Corp.

Organisers, Drum Corp, will be releasing a music video of the beach spectacle.
