LOCALS VOCALLY OPPOSE NATIONAL PARK HUNTING LAWS

The fight to overturn legislation that will allow recreational shooting in National Parks has reached the office of Lismore MP, Thomas George.

Today over 100 locals rallied in opposition to the laws, which will permit hunting in 96 per cent of national parks in the Northern Rivers.

  1. I was at the protest, and disagree with the claim protesters were ‘vocal’. There wasn’t even any chanting or singing. Yes, people do have to use a microphone to address a crowd, but the crowd was peaceful. I don’t understand why the repeated claim that the protest was so noisy. It just seems like stereotyping to me. The loudest person I heard was a heckler who was yelling abuse at us all!

    And ‘Thomas George wasn’t there so was unable to respond’.. well, that is quite in character in my experience!!!

  2. Hi I am trying to view the video on a mac in firefox and it wants to install “flip for mac” I would recommend using a format more suitable to cross platform viewing
