BILLY CART DERBY READY TO ROLL

There will be no cars driving down the main street of Bangalow tomorrow, the daily traffic making way for billy carts.

Now in its 23rd year, the annual Billy Cart Derby has become the biggest of its kind in Australia.

The first round of competitors will take to the starting line at 9 o’clock in the morning, if Mother Nature’s on side.

“It’s never been rained off the Billy Cart derby… we have had days where it’s started with light drizzle but as far as we’re concerned the event is definitely on tomorrow”

Last year, 230 entrants took part, with all the money raised, going to charity.
