Hunter Valley police are investigating the theft of an ATM from a Pokolbin restaurant.
Early yesterday morning two men removed the doors from the restaurant on Broke Road, before taking the ATM and driving away in their four wheel drive.
Police say the ATM had a large amount of cash in it at the time.
Detectives are looking for two men who were described as wearing dark clothing and driving a light coloured four wheel drive.
Witnesses are being urged to contact Maitland Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
