The Nationals have launched an online petition, opposing job losses at North Coast hospitals.
The petition, which will be presented to State Parliament this week, comes after a series of weekend protest rallies across the region.
North Coast Health CEO Chris Crawford today confirmed an assessment was underway into the over-budget health service.
It’s believed 400 nursing and cleaning jobs will be shed at 23 hospitals, to save $200-million over the next three years.
The Nurses Association has failed to support the Nationals campaign.
