FIRE FIGHTER PLEADS GUILTY

A 23-year-old volunteer fire fighter from Inverell has admitted to deliberately lighting fires.
Justin Thomas Broadbent pleaded guilty to 13 charges of arson in court today.
The charges relate to fires lit within a 15 kilometre radius of Inverell, on public property, but some of which spread to privately owned land.
The rural fire service volunteer was refused bail, and is due to reappear in Inverell Local Court next month.
