In the state of origin Blokart series held at Coffs Harbour on the weekend, Queensland proved too strong for the locals,
running out comfortable winners in yesterday’s final day of competition.
Patchy conditions were unfortunately the highlight of the two days of land-sailing which saw 30 Blokarts take part in the second round of the interstate series.
Late yesterday, a 20-knot southerly wind finally gave competitors the conditions they were after, with karts reaching speeds of around 70 kilometres per hour on the course at Flat Top Beach near Hearnes Lake.
