HUNTER FILIPINOS GATHER IN PRAYER

The Hunter Filipino community is coming to terms with the loss of thousands of lives.
Today a ceremony was held to pray for friends and family affected by the disaster.
“I got an email from my sister from the Phillipines and found out only yesterday that the roof of our house was blown away.”
A fundraiser will be held in Newcastle later this month.

Filipinos all over the world are comingbto terms with the recent tragedy brought by the super typhoon, HAIAN. In moments of despair, we all turned to prayers. This not only strengthen our resolve, but alsogive us hope .
Filipinos in the Hunter in particular are always charitable. In fact since 2002, many organisations in Australia and thenPhilippines were recipients in our fundraising activities.
In return , we thank the Australian people and its government for your generosity in our time of need.
