Rugby League’s off-field heroes will be honoured at the NRL’s annual One Community Awards this Thursday, and the North West will be well represented.
Narrabri District Junior Rugby League is one of five clubs nominated for the Grassroots Club of the Year.
If successful the club will return home with an extra $5000 for future programs.
Group 19 official Barry Tozer will contest the prestigious Volunteer of the Year title, while former Tingha resident and Gold Coast Titans star Preston Campbell has been nominated for the Ken Stephen Medal for his charity commitments.
