KINGSTON RELIEF ARRIVES

Landholders affected by a windstorm that swept through Kingstown last month are eligible for disaster relief funding.

The storm caused around $500,000 worth of damage to at least 10 grazing properties.

Houses, roads, rainwater tanks and roads were badly affected, as well as 100 kilometres of fencing.

The state government has announced assistance in the form of loans of up to $130,000 with a two-year interest-free repayment period.

Farmers can apply for relief by calling the New South Wales Rural Assistance Authority on 1800 678 593.
