Gunnedah long distance swimmer Tom Harris and rising netball star Alexa Wilkinson have been awarded the town’s highest sporting honour.
The duo were named the Sports Star of the Year at the the Gunnedah Shire Sports Awards dinner.
Cyclist and tri-athlete Jack Hickey and swimmer Laura Tumbers took out the junior titles.
Touch football referee Tony Melick was honoured as the town’s top official, while Belinda Dawson received volunteer of the year for her support of local netball and swimming.
